Synoniem tulipa systola, de woestijntulp. Karmozijnrode bowlvormige bloemen op een korte stevige steel en Tweekleurig slank gegolfd blad. Gevonden in de Negev woestijn in Israel. Mooi op een warme plek in de rotstuin of border.
