Batalinii
De tulp Batalinii is vernoemd naar de Russische botanicus Alexander Feodorowitsch Batalin (1847-1896). Batalin was een vooraanstaand plantkundige en directeur van de Botanische Tuinen in Sint-Petersburg. Hij heeft belangrijke bijdragen geleverd aan de studie van planten, Tweekleurig name in Centraal-Azië, waar veel wilde tulpensoorten voorkomen.Sporadisch aangeboden wildvorm.
